May is National Animal Disaster Preparedness Month. It is important to safe around dog but it is also important to be safe during bad storms also. Sometimes storms happen in the summer and we must do what our parents say to be safe. It can be scary for you during a storm so you must be brave and keep your dog safe too. You must be calm and listen to an adult who will make sure you are in a safe place during a storm. Your dog may be frightened too so you must be brave so he will be brave like you. We can do things to help our dog in case you have to take them with you if you have to leave during a storm. In Pow Wow Playground we will make a Sheriff Sheldon’s safety kit to take with us if we ever had to evacuate during a storm. You may never have to use your safety kit but just in case it is good to have tucked away in your closet just for emergencies.
