Make an Easter Bandana for Your Dog and You
Take a yard of white cotton or muslin material and fold over the material to make a triangle. Cut with pinking shears so it does not fray. Use fabric paint in a paint dish or fabric markers to make an Easter design on your bandanna. You can paint your dog’s name, or draw egg or peeps. Wear your bandanna to Easter Dinner or to an Easter Egg Hunt.
Have an Easter Egg Hunt for your Dog
Start off with plastic eggs that are easily opened (so your dog will not crack the egg). Use small training treats with a strong smell so you dog can sniff them out. If you are hiding the eggs outside, put them in places easy and some harder hiding places like in planters or under bushes. If your hunt is indoors, use different boxes, dish towels, or pillows to hide your eggs under. Tell your dog to find the egg and help him for the first few until they catch on to the game. When they find the egg, you can say “sit” and “drop it” so that you can open it for them. Don’t tighten the egg too tight so when he drops it, the egg cracks open with the treat. NOTE: when playing the egg hunt game, have an adult with you. NEVER leave your dog unsupervised with the plastic eggs for their safety. If your dog becomes too excited, you can always keep him on a long line and have him find the egg and you open it for him. Happy Hunting!

Make a Marshmallow Bunny Car
You will need:
- Twinkies
- Marshmallow bunnies
- Small Cookies for tires
- Small pretzels for the steering wheel
- Icing for the glue
- Spnkles
Cut a V in the twinkie and fill with icing for the car. Put a bunny in the car and a pretzel for the steering wheel and then add icing on the tires to help attach to the car. Put icing on the car and add sprinkles to decorate it. Place a Bunny Car on each plate at the dinner table for your family to enjoy.

Play the Statue and Turtle Game with Your Dogs
Play the statue and turtle game to practice dog bit prevention safety. Have an adult hold your dog while you and your friends line up. When you start running, your dog will want to chase you. The adult yells out either the word Statue or the word Turtle. As soon as you hear the word, see how fast you can become the word they yelled. Then the adult will let your dog get near you either on a leash or, if in a fenced in yard, off the leash. Let your dog sniff you and see how long before he loses interest and goes away. Watch the video below. This is good practice in case you ever meet a dog running loose.
